The Deconstructed (HP-3)
The letterform comes apart. Wales Bonner, Marni, Undercover register.

HP-3 takes the wordmark and scatters it across the chest and upper back. Marni hand-scrawled, Wales Bonner "Resilience," Undercover and Heron Preston deconstructed — one-to-one register match with designers who treat typography as a structural element rather than a decoration. The mark is the same source vocabulary as HP-1 but pulled apart: individual letterforms hung in composition rather than lined up as a word. The visual impression is heather — not because the garment is a different color, but because the scattered composition reads as grain against the solid Obsidian ground. The brand is single-colorway for RC01. The heather is a property of the print composition, not the shirt.

Material & print. AS Colour 5080, 220 gsm, Obsidian Pearl ground. DTF transfer in scattered composition reproducing Shirt Prints/IMG_1673 at garment scale. Chest cluster ~22 cm wide, back cluster ~18 cm wide; the composition preserves the asymmetry and hand-drawn edge character of the original painting. Pearl ink on obsidian, soft-hand matte film, same 30-wash durability standard as SKU 03. Placement tolerance is deliberately looser (±5 mm on cluster centroid) because the composition is meant to read as scattered rather than precisely registered. Woven satin label at the nape.

Fit & wear. Short-box block, true to size. The scattered print softens the visual shoulder line by about 1 cm at normal viewing distance — the chest cluster pulls the eye inward, the back cluster extends the torso line upward. If the wearer is between sizes, go up; the composition wants a little more room to breathe across the chest. The shirt reads as one thing close up and three things across a room, which is the point.

The woven signature

Every piece in Return Capsule 01 carries the same cream-on-black satin-weave label reading "RÊVASSER / NEW YORK," sewn into the inside neck below the main care label. Archive-grade weave, not retail cotton. One label across five pieces — the unifying thread that makes five different pieces read as one capsule. Photographed in the studio during sampling; already in hand.

Obsidian Pearl

The capsule's single colorway. Garment ground measures rgb(19,19,21) — deeper than matte black, reads as obsidian under studio lighting and near-black on camera. Pearl ink rgb(232,228,223) — warm cream, not stark white. Accent cream rgb(245,239,232) for the woven signature and for hover states on the site. SKU 05's warm-cream heritage patch is the deliberate monochrome exception; within the patch composition, the cream + oxblood + obsidian inks sit inside the same value range as the rest of the capsule.

Typography

The typography lineage is one continuous thread. James-authored serif v4 (August 2023 Font Sort screenshots) through the 2025 Brandon Grotesque refinement used on the PDPs, lookbook, and product prints. Brandon Razor w100 at 0.26em for hero display. Brandon Grotesque Light w300 at 0.45em for metadata. The ê wink — a #F5EFE8 pulse with 8s shadow-breath and 35s hero loop — is the brand's typographic signature made autonomous.

Return Capsule 01 · 2026-05-13

Launch is gated to the USPTO Class 35 Statement of Use (App 98/449,520, Venable LLP). First production run is small — initial quantities will be confirmed as vendor quotes return. Shipments begin late May. Restock waitlist opens for anything that sells out before the second production run completes.

Why "the return"

Rêvasser had a long fiasco. Peru and Manila and Printful, 2024, a chain of small production attempts that never shipped. The 2023 creative DNA stayed intact: the hand-painted primitives, the woven labels, the typography. Return Capsule 01 is the return of the program to NYC-local production with the 2023 DNA still carrying the work. Same wordmark. Same woven signatures. Same hand-painted reversed R from August 2023. New supply chain. Smaller lot. Higher integrity.
